Bee Awareness Day at Enys House and Gardens, Penryn, on Sunday the 9th August 11am to 5pm.
We shall be having short talks from a beekeeper who keeps his bees at Enys. Jacqueline davey on behalf of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, another speaker will be from University of Exeter, Tremough.
There will be stands selling everything from Honey, Mead, Candles to Beekeepers, Clothing and Equipment. Ann Pengelly will be selling plants. The Garden Café will be open from 11am to 5pm There will be a Celebrity Showcase for Beekeepers Past and Present. A Bee Creativity Area for the children.
Also, we have been loaned a Virtual Bee Hive and people/ chldren can dress up as a Beekeeper! The prize raffle includes a Taster Beekeeping Session for Two people with Beekeeper Simon Croson from Artisan Honey at his Apiary in Falmouth.
